Day 9 - January 9th, 2011

Day 9 of 365.

I've finally managed to capture the essence of my daughter. 

Every other picture I've taken of her shows her as the typical newborn; sleepy and content or red faced and crying. It's misleading because she really spends most of her days like this. She's infinitely curious and spends the majority of her day taking in the world around her. 

She's so advanced for being only three and a half weeks old - she very rarely needs to cry, she communicates her needs to us through her face, whimpers and other sounds. She can support her head incredibly well, to the point where I almost never need to help her. She seems to already be trying to talk.

She is endlessly amazing to me.

Day 3 - January 3rd, 2011

Day 3 of 365.

My husband and my daughter are the two most perfect people I've ever had the pleasure of meeting.

Just looking at this picture, I swear I could fall in love with them both over and over again.

Day 2 - January 2, 2011

Day two of three hundred and sixty-five.

Watched my daughter discover herself in the mirror for the first time. It was pretty awesome - as evidenced by my face in the above photo.
